Does this change my documents?

No. It applies a reversible reading layer in your browser. The underlying document and what coworkers see do not change.

Why does it request access to sites?

The extension needs to apply your selected profile when an assigned domain loads. It does not read or transmit browsing history, form contents, or page text.

What happens on password or payment fields?

Temporary focus magnification skips password fields and common payment inputs. The extension never reads their values.

Is this a screen-reader replacement?

No. It complements browser and operating-system accessibility tools. It does not provide speech, semantic navigation, or remote-desktop magnification.
